Duo Core 1.83Ghz or AMD Turion MT32 1.8 GHz?

Lets say to choose a laptop only concern in processor,
Intel duo core 1.8 GHz   or AMD Turion MT32 1.8 GHz.?

In another way, Intel  or AMD is faster in same speed.?

Which Intel processor?
If it's the Core 2 Duo, it's faster than the AMD
If it'd the Core Duo, it's about the same, but has an extra core, so multitasking and multi cored programs will be much better on the Intel than the AMD
However, Core Duo isn't 64 bit, although Core 2 Duo and the AMD Turion are
