    Take a look here:
    http://www.sharewareconnection.com/task-manager-fix.htm

Note this portion: "This utility enables Task Manager disabled by virus, trojans, spyware etc."

What are you using for virus protection at the moment?

Don't you love it when original posts go missing?

Actually, I did see this before it was moved and went missing.
Still, it's hard to understand the whole thread unless the OP is quoted in the first reply or if it's blindingly obvious.

Thanks to all who responded.  I was given a suggestion that solved the problem.  However, I deleted my initial post without thinking it thru.   I even failed to note the kind soul who posted the suggestion.  Perhaps he will id himself. I thank him again.  The suggestion was a download of something called Taskmanager fix and it solved the problem.  I am not a computer wiz, so I did not think about it helping others.
Again thanks to all who responded.  My apologies for removing the initial post.

From now on, just leave your posts as they are.
Don't delete any unless specifically requested to do so.
It was Dilbert who suggested the download.
Anyway, don't be a "hit-and-run poster" from now on, otherwise the Sheriff and his Deputy will get involved.
    LOL.
