BF2142 problems
« on: March 01, 2007, 12:34:39 PM »
Hi all.
As the topic title suggests, I am having major problems with BF2142.
It worked fine the other day, and the only thing that has changed that I can think of is that I installed a patch for it.
It worked fine for a few games after the patch though, so I don't think it's that.
Oh, and I installed some other games, but I don't think that would affect it.
The problem is that it launches fine, up until the second log in screen.
When I log in there, it freezes for about 5 minutes, normally it logs in within about 10 seconds, usually less.
When it eventually loads the main screen, that too is empty of information, just the frames with buddy list and the structure on them, nothing in them and nothing on the news ticker, etc.
If I then leave it for 5 minutes or so, it loads up.
But then every time I click something, it take 5 minutes to load.
Anyone else having problems?
Or have any suggestions to fix this?
XP Pro SP2, ATI Mobility X1600 256Mb graphics card, 1Gb RAM, 100Gb HDD.
If you need more info let me know.
Thanks in advance.
Calum.

Neil

Sounds like a connection problem to me. Make a single-player account and see is there is a difference.

Sorry if I'm a bit late, just to let you know it's sorted.
I think it was a server problem, it works fine on everything now.
