    Win98SE Hangs at C:\ for 45 seconds while booting-

    For some reason Win98SE hangs at the C:\ for about 45 seconcs while booting, would anyone know the reason?

    I am trying to help a friend fix an old computer, Thanks

    More details about the hardware, software and what happened prior to this, etc. would be required.
