    File converstion AVI to DVD etc

    I would be grateful if any of you guys out there could help me with a query I have please?

    I want to burn a DVD from I think avi files and I understand from a friend that "free" software can be downloaded from the net to do this can anyone suggest what I could use please?

    Apparently the software "converts" the files to DVD or something!

    You will gather from this that I am not an expert!!!

    Travel to majorgeeks.com and check around in the multimedia section....a pretty good selection of freeware.

    But check each program's description...it's not ALL free.

    http://www.videohelp.com/ has a number of tutorials describing various ways to convert video files from one format to another.
