    Which card is better?
    « on: May 03, 2007, 04:34:20 AM »
I have recently been looking on alienware for a new computer and I was wondering which of these graphics card set-ups is the better, as when they are installed they cost around the same.

    Dual 320MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ 8800 GTS - SLI Enabled

    SINGLE 768MB nVidia® GeForce® 8800 GTX graphics card

aLIENWARE << mucho dinero +   Most members here could build one twice as great at the same price!  (think about that one?)

the 8800gts in sli  has better performance.... ;)

Calum has  graphics card info in the  "FAQ"  section that is good reading...

With the money your talking about here, Calum , Raptor and few others could point you in a more "optimal" direction !!!
mobo- MSI P6N SLI / LCD Samsung  226BW
      Ram- G-Skill dual HQ / Speakers- 5300e's
      Fatality Hi-Fi Soundcard
      cpu - currently ~ E6600 / Foxfire only
      dual~Seagate 320 gig sata's
      8800 gts- MSI /Verizon Fios
          news is knowledge

Get a single card. Less heat build-up, more room and probably better performance. |

Or get a dual 8800GTX if you've got the money.  ;D
