Computer not reading one game disk, but reading another
« on: June 10, 2007, 12:27:58 PM »
I play Battlefield 2, and I jsut recently baught the Booster Pack from Microcenter.  The original game works just fine, but whenever I put in the Booster Pack CD to install it, my CD Drive starts making weird scratching noises and it does not read the CD.  I already tried exchanging the CD's to see if maybe the disc was defective, but neither disc that I have baught works.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I added to reply#1 after you posted sorry.

The Battlefield 2 Booster Pack requires a 8xDVD Rom.

You may presently have a CD-Writer or just a Cd-Rom.

Have you ever been able to watch DVD's on your computer
in question?

Street1- Yup, thats the problem.  The Original version doesn't require a DVD drive for whatever reason, thats why it was working.
Thanks a lot for you help!

Patio- now that I know what I need, thanks for the tip on where to find it!
