Save game woes.

I have two games, Galactic Civilizations 2 and Freelancer and both of them crash in certain points whenever I try to load a saved game.
Iv noticed out of all the programs on my system these two games are the only programs that are in My documents/My Games where the save games are kept.
It seems a bit of a coincidence that these two are the only ones that are screwing up repeatedly.

Freelancer crashes and reboots and Galactic Civ2 crashes to windows with an error report.
I can't figure it out. Please give me your thoughts.

What system are you running? How much Memory do you have????Has this just started?.... It sound like a Memory problem....do a mem-test and check your Temperature......
