my cd rom icon alwayz dissapear in my computer... i always use device manager to make it appear again...any suggeston?

    could be that your desk top settings is to remove unused icons, if so after a period the icon will go,
     right click a space on your desktop,
    select properties,
    then desktop,
    then  Customize Desktop,
    and untick the box "run desktop wizard every 60 days"
