I am using Windows XP Home Edition and a favourite PIM that I have been using for a few years and keep getting the "stack overflow" error. I have been to config, sys, which was empty, and entered "stack=30,000" which helped at first but now the error is back. Any ideas.

Neither Config.sys nor Autoexec.bat are used in XP (NT).   You could try adding the Stacks= parameter to Config.nt

    See here..

Also you might read c:\windows\system32\config.nt using Notepad.

    Good luck
