I'm not sure...
« on: August 31, 2007, 10:40:22 AM »
I don't know if I have some kind of virus, but the last while my computer has been freezing a lot. It's new .. I only got it at Christmas time. And it's only been happening lately..
Today I went downstairs and when I went back up it was frozen and there was a loud buzzing noise coming from the speakers?
So I turned it off and when i tried to turn it back on it wouldn't work. It froze on the Dell screen a couple times.. but other than that..  it didn't work.
I also noticed that when I turn it on the fan ( I think ) Makes a really loud noise.. ..
It shouldn't be too ****** up.... I only started using it 7 months ago....
Anyway.. Anyone know what could be wrong? I'm not exactly the best at fixing computers....

What model Dell ? ?
Most new Dells ship with at least a one year warranty...i would be exploring that avenue before it's too late...
Note: Trying to fix it yourself may void your warranty. Grab a good backup program and start backing up all your important info while you are waiting to hear back from Dell.

I've got to agree with patio on this one.  I have had some trouble with Dell computers in the past and they're not always the most reliable.  This is most likely a hardware issue, and if your computer is still under warranty, using that would be cheaper and easier than trying to fix the problem yourself (or taking it in somewhere).
