Cannot delete...

Hey all: I come up with 800+ tmp files when I search "*.tmp" but I cannot delete them all in order to clean up my system. Is this normal?

That is impossible to say with so little information to go on. All I can say is that some of those files might be in use by a program, in that case they can't be deleted. If you want to clean up your system I suggest you take a look at CCleaner. This is much more efficient than cleaning up manually.
