win32 problem and computer game
« on: November 26, 2004, 04:33:50 PM »
need some help with starting a game:

I had installed and played Call of Duty on my computer 10 or so months ago.  I have since uninstalled it and reinstalled it, but I can no longer run it in windows xp pro.  When I go to run the game, it says that the exe file is not a "win32 file"!!!!  Can someone please help?

Thanks
NMW

Have you changed OS since the last time? 10 months is a long time... have you changing any drivers, etc?

Also, scan for viruses and the like.

I haven't changed the OS... really haven't done much of anything to the software ??? ???... I have performed a couple of system restores, but that shouldn't affect much.

The system doesn't even recognize the games' icons on the desktop.. it has that generic window icon instead of the real icon.

Very frusturating... especially since it worked last time.
THanks for the quick reply and the help....
