upgrade cpu in dell p3

I want to upgrade from 450 to 733MHz cpu. There are no dip switches on the motherboard. There are links on the motherboard and one is bios. Am I right that I need to stop the system clock and this link must be used. Also that I must change cpu setting in cmos.

    Huh? What are these links you're talking about?
    You don't need to stop the system clock to upgrade the CPU, how exactly would you accomplish that anyway?
