leaving cd in computer

We have an ongoing disagreement in our home about the potential harm in leaving a cd in the drive when the computer is shut down.  Some members of our family are very young and do not always remove their cd when they are finished playing a game.  Does leaving a cd in the drive when the computer is shut down damage the computer in any way?  We do have autorun disabled.

No.

With the computer off you have no power going to the player.
