Sending files

Is there a way to send a file to another computer on the same line as you or not.
for example you can use the net send thing but can you send files like that?

will my friend you could try u.s.b since it is faster, and yeah you could sent file on the same line, there are many ways of transfering files, like msn, and stuff.
