    Client for Microsoft Networks
    « on: January 01, 2008, 09:11:30 AM »
I am running Win 2000 and IE 6.0. Both are fully updated. I have recently come seen references to security issues with Client for Microsoft Networks and File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks. Can't tell if this is current info.

We just have one PC and don't have a network at this time.

Should I disable or uninstall these two parameters on my NIC connection?

Just make sure, that File and Print Sharing is disabled: http://security.utexas.edu/personal/windows/sharing.html
