Cannot transfer my files
« on: January 19, 2008, 03:17:44 PM »
I just recently reformatted backing up all of my documents and such and I had totally forgot that I had used the Microsoft Encryption which is in "properties, advanced, advanced attributes" and now all of my files are stuck on my external hard drive because every time i go to move them it says "You need permission to perform this action."  All these files are of great importance so if anyone knows a solution letting me know would be greatly appreciated.

Info:
-Vista
-Custom Built
-Error msg is "You need permission to perform this action."

You Can Try This  but if the files were truly encrypted i'm afraid you are out of luck...
