Can't Open Disk Drives

For many months I have been able to click my E Drive to retrieve documents. Lately I can't coz I was prompted "Choose the program you want to use to open this file". Checked my C and D drive, also got the same message. What's wrong? I can see the file contents from Windows Explorer though.

try this...
go to menu>run and type this "regsvr32 /i shell32.dll" click ok
wait for the confirmation. a dialog box will appear then if it is successful, try to open the C and D.
