Internet Explorer 6 on new install of Windows XP
« on: January 18, 2005, 07:51:31 PM »
I am stuck.  I just recently installed windows xp pro on a pc on a small network.  The network uses static ips.  I have access to the network but can't get to internet.  I have confirmed that the gateway ip is corect and the dns servers are correct.   I am completly lost on this.  Can anyone point me in the right direction.

kidexprex,,,,can all the other pcs on the network access the net ?

How is your network connected with a hub or a router .....or via network cabling ?

If you don't know the answer, it isn't a dumb question.

All other computers connect fine.  It is a network of 25 computers using a switch.  And a t1 line going out to the net.  Its a brand new install.  Can it be a network card configuration??

    Thanks for the response
