Connecting Game system to Laptop
« on: February 19, 2008, 07:49:49 PM »
Hello computer hope users,

My question is whether or not it's possible to connect my gamecube to my laptop? (dell inspiron 9300)  I basically just want to use my laptop screen as the tv screen

And if so, how, and how much would it cost? I'm not too good with computers, so if you don't mind, try to keep the tech language at a minimum, thanks!

    Adaptec GameBridgeTV AVC-1410.

Google it. I've read that the video quality is bad and there is a lot of lag.

Hmm, I don't really have a problem with a little video problem, but I can't play with lag, does anyone know any options that will keep lag to a minimum?

    Yes.
Hook it up to a beefy Desktop instead of a laptop.
Laptop's in general will normally dissapoint when it comes to gaming.

So there's no way to eliminate lag with a laptop if I want to do this?

Desktop isn't really an option right now.

Can more RAM be added to the laptop ? ?
Even still the video will still be the bottleneck...

I upgraded it a little while back to 1.25 gigs I think, would that be enough?
