    Blue screen on Start Up
    « on: March 08, 2008, 06:09:39 AM »
I have a blue screen issue on startup.  Here is the info for the blue screen:

The problem seems to be caused by the following file: redbook.sys

    DRIVER_UNLOADED_WITHOUT_CANCELLING_PEND ING_OPERATIONS

I have looked around on the forum here and can't find any related problem.  I do not have the reboot disk and even when I try to run virus scans in safe mode and reboot normal, it gives me the same message.  Is there any thing that I can try or is this too far gone?

Thanks for all your help in this matter.

    Hi there

What security do you use? have you tried scanning for Malware? apparently, some malware disguise themselves as redbook.sys.

We use Nortons and no I haven't looked for malware.  Is there a good program to use for this in safe mode?  Thanks.

Do you have ATI video card, or ATI video chipset?
