Blown computer
« on: March 19, 2008, 02:08:52 PM »
My Acer Aspire Laptop gave up the ghost the other day.   No power.   Power Adaptor okay.   Laptop battery okay.  Looks as if something inside has blown.
Machine is four years old.   Thinking of buying another lap top.   Unfortunately silly billy has no back up discs.   QUESTION - Is there any way I can download the information presently stored on this lap top hard drive,  even though there is no power going into the machine.   Any suggestions?

Best bet to retrieve/copy that Data is to get a laptop to IDE adapter...

About ten bucks at any computer store.

This will enable you to hook up the drive in any desktop and grab your Data...
Good Luck and let us know.
