Just checked and in Tools/Options i don't see anything for automated backup of bookmarks. Bit i'm not running ver 1.5.
You're probably in the "and above" category.
I'm not concerned about it as i run MozBack regular like...
It is just very curious that yours is not making the five automatic backups of that file.
Side note: I use SyncBack to make a back up copy to another drive. With Firefox making the automatic five backups, with different file names, it is a bit of a pain in the *censored*. As time goes by, I'd have a LOT of bookmark files saved by Syncback.

Hey... wait.... IDEA!!
I use SyncBack, not MozBack. You are just the opposite.
MozBack is
designed to work with Firefox.
What are the chances that MozBack is handling this for you? in that MozBack, after it makes a backup copy for you, erases the extra copies made by Firefox? Perhaps as a way to prevent what I'm experiencing.... having to manually get rid of the extra copies.
What do you think?
