At the time of installation, can we force a VCF file to be opened by an application we have developed? (Of course, we are not preventing the user from changing it back to the application he wants to open the VCF file with)

Is it legally mandated that our installer contains an option 'Do you want this program to be the default VCF handler?'

Thanks in advance,

You can write your application so it accepts a filename as a parameter and then just do

myapplication.exe myfile.vcf
