    XP clean reinstall: http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/cleanxpinstall.html
Yes, all files will be gone, so if you have something important, you have to back it up.

      HAH !  :)
When I got my PC (512 RAM , 2.1 GHz) I was sooooooo proud that I have such a cool computer.
But aventualy after wasting more and more disk space it get's slower.
      Just think yourselves :
      What whould open faster -
A program files folder with about 20 programs
      OR :
      A program files folder like mine : about 100 programs ?  :D

      P.S.:
My dad has an old PC with 256 RAM and WinXP works fine on it.
There's no prob in your PC at all.

haha, anyway...other than ram, is there anything else i can do to help it run faster??  i know it's capable of it...since it was fine before it started slowing down the last couple of weeks.
Are you using any spyware removal tools?  Are you using any disk cleanup utilities, such as Windows Disk Cleanup or CCleaner?  If you don't have CCleaner, go here and get the Slim version: http://www.ccleaner.com/download/builds

Run CCleaner's Windows scan for disk cleanup and then run it's Registry scan.  Use it regularly.  And, defragment your hard drive regularly.
