DESKTOP SCREEN
« on: June 01, 2008, 06:36:32 PM »
My disabled friend has a dell inspiron 8000 laptop, os windows Me, 128 mb sd ram, intell Pentium III processor, 80 MHz, the original  20g  hard drive recently crashed and I replaced it with a new 40g drive. When I reinstalled windows Me, the desktop screen boots to a screen 4 x 5 inches and I can't figure out  what to do to get the screen to full 15" size.

If the video card is on the motherboard, you will need to use the install disk that should have come with the motherboard. If you dont have a disk, have a look on the manafacturers website for drivers.

If you are using a videocard that is not on the motherboard, you will need to install drivers for it

Right click an empty area of the desktop and select Properties...
From there you can change the screen resolution size.
