What is the significance of a "warning"
    « on: June 02, 2008, 06:21:13 PM »
I have just done a full system scan with Avira Antivirus. The only item listed is a "warning' and it specifically is "G:\pagefile.sys" . The reference of the scan to it is "could not scan file". I do understand the literal statement--but what is it's significance? thank you, truenorth

You should probably set the AV to ignore that file.

evilfantasy, thank you for your replies on both my posts re Avira. While it is far too early for me to comment on it's functioning i can say i am very impressed with it's download/install efficiency. I really like the way it looks. It seems to really aggressively update it's virus definitions ( multi times daily). Seems much more user friendly compared to Avast and AVG.Took about 25-30 minutes for a full scan on 4 hdd--which i think is very good.truenorth
