    Windows Install Cleanup
    « on: June 22, 2008, 03:07:03 AM »
Yesterday I downloaded XP SP3 I now have an entry on Start menu called Windows Installer Cleanup. It list almost all my programs and warns me that I may need to reinstall some applications on my system that used Windows Installer to be installed. Choosing remove will make permanent changes. this is scary! What should I do, please, gurus?

Windows Installer Cleanup is a downloadable utility which can remove some applications, but can also break some.
Unless you need to use it, don't try it for the sake of it.

        You're welcome.
I don't think it's actually a part of XP SP3, it may have been downloaded at another time.
