why cant i lload a driver disk i have used before ?

im trying to laod drivers for a mustek 1200cp scanner - it just keeps saying ERROR - could not open file - please check disc is not full and that you have access to the destination directory - i have used this disk many times before with no problems ? i would be grateful of any help  thanx

What OS? What kind of disk (CD or Floppy)? Are you sure the destination directory is a drive you have access to and can write to? Are you mistakenly trying to install to the CD drive or other read-only/write-protected drive?
