nic driver not listed in device manager

I have Dual core 1.6 ghz wipro system with vista business. Its a new system. my nic driver is not listed in device manager. Even after installing one it shows nowhere. The nic is built-in and supports realtek rtl8169.

I may be wrong since I don't have Vista but the drivers shouldn't appear in Device Manager, just the hardware.

Why, is something wrong?

Well I mean the same i.e., the harware is not listed there in the device manager.
