Not very difficult - but you need connectors and an audio recording prog - I use Audacity which is free download.

You need a connector from the earphone socket of your tape player to the Line-in connector on your pc.  Start Audacity and then your tape.  The music will be recorded on your hdd and you can then save to a file, edit it, and using Lame convert it to mp3 if you wish.  Audacity comes with excellent manuals which will show you in fairly simple terms how to use the prog.

The recorded music quality may not be absolutely perfect.  You can also use a Line Output from your player but not the external speaker connections.

Good luck
