computer powering off and on rapidly
« on: March 17, 2005, 01:57:17 PM »
I was watching cinemanow and shut it down along with window media player and my computer was working fine.  I left for dinner and when I came back the computer was powering off and on rapidly.  I had to do a force turn off by pulling the plug.  I opened the case and pulled a reset the memory sticks and cleaned out the case.  When I turn it back on the fans are running but thats it there are no beeps and nothing comes up on the screen.  :'(     I have and alienware tower computer, running windows home edition.  It has 256ram ddr memory and 128 ram ddr memory

Also, is it a dual cpu system...and are they being over-clocked...wait a minute, yes they are its alienware. But it could have a virus, but I think it could be problems with overclocking.  talk to alienware...they have good support!
