    Laptop Security

The Geek Squad where I bought my new desktop computer told me that I should be certain that my laptop is encripted.  I have tried doing what they told me and can't quite figure it out.  Can someone out there walk me through it?  It would be much appreciated.  Thanks

Are you talking about security for wireless Internet access?

Are you using a wireless router?  If so, do you know how to access the admin panel for your router?  What make and model is it?

What version of Windows do you have?

I am using Vista Ultimate, and also using a wireless router.  It is a linksys, wireless G, 2.4ghz, 54mbps.  I don't know how to get into the setting.

Do you have the manual that came with it?
