So last night, my younger sister attempted to download a song, canceled the download, then got a warning box saying her computer was at risk (she doesn't remember if it was our Kapersky Internet Security or just Windows Vista). After that, her computer started making pig noises (
), so she shut it down. When she turned it on and tried to log into her account, it said "The User Profile Service failed the Logon."
Should we use the restore CD or try to get it restored for some rediculous service fee? Is there any way to fix it on our own?
Edit: She has Windows Vista on an Inspiron 1525.
