    Win 2000 Desktop problem!

    I have IBM  net vista   win2000 . I don't know what went wrong . any icon or folder i try to open from the desktop or the start .. prog. menu doesn't work !! every time i try to click on one of them, the windows refresh and looks like logging off and back on again !!  every thing flash and disappear 
    from the desktop then comes back .Icant open any folder or click on any shortcuts !!

    Any ideas what might have sprouted this problem?

    Any recent downloads or installs?

    Are you able to open programs from the Start menu?

      I can't open folders. From Start menu I can open RUN but can't  open search !!

      I don't remember exactly what is the last thing happened that changed it . I 'm not sure .

      Hi catkoot!

      While you are being helped here, I suggest you also go to theMalware Removal Board, and read This and post the three logs there.

      Have you tried to go to a previous restore point?
