    Ghost and NC
    « on: November 10, 2008, 11:59:19 PM »
pls someone explain me some questions:
    1. Ghost software (Norton, Symantec...) will format entire the partition which I need to format?
I have A partition 8G, a file ghost when unpacked to a partition will be 2G
Can someone explain me: 6G left would be formated? Can I get back the data on this zone 6G with some software or "unformat" command dos?  ???
(I knew the successful rate of getting data back is low on a partition formated.)
    2. I want to ghost C partition, what will happen if I choose "where to save your file ghost: C"?
    3. I use NC in DOS:
in win environment, I rename one file ***.exe to ***.exe.bk
Why with NC (in DOS), I found that NC sees this .exe.bk as a file .exe: copy, move... will receive results with .exe (it seems that .exe.bk never exists?)
