ive heard so much about the new line of CPU's from intel and seen them being sold everywhere but whats so special about them that sets them apart from core 2 quad processors?

Shortly: triple channel on-chip DDR3 memory controller, QuickPath replaces the FSB, TurboBoost, HyperThreading.
