    Router Question
    « on: December 11, 2008, 10:00:05 AM »
I have a DLink Router (model DIR-615) that is plugged into our desktop for our wireless connection for our laptop.

My desktop crashed several months ago....and well, it was OLD and I haven't missed it at all!

Is there a way, that I can get a router (either my current one or a new one) that doesn't need to be plugged into my desktop (so I can clear the desktop out my office)?

Would like to get rid of my old desktop and just not have one.....but also keep my wireless connection and do wireless printing, etc.

If I have to keep my old desktop for the router to work....will my laptop be safe from an virus/problems that my desktop had?

Hope that all make sense..... ::) 8) ;D
    Thanks!

Does the laptop work wirelessly now ? ?

If so the desktop is not needed and can be removed.
