Microphone Problems!

I bought this microphone and it has 2 jacks. I put them in the right sockets but the mic dont work. The headset works perfectly. I tried it on another mic and sure enough, it works.
I then went on Record devices and enabled it but still dont work!! Any ideas? And my operating system is Vista.

Try it on another machine...i suspect it's the mike unless Mute is turned on somewhere in Sounds and Multimedia...
If it does the same thing return it for a new one.

Yeah sorry, i made a typo on that. It's meant to be: I tried it on another PC, so i dont think its a mic problem. And i checked and it wasnt on mute.

I retried it on my friends PC and it had the same issue, but it works on my old PC so I dont think it's the headsets problem.
