I was wondering if I log on to a computer in a library, pull up my email and send a message will there be a record of the computer I used or will it just show my email site from the home computer?

Just work on the assumption that there is always a record of where you were when you did something.  Getting the computer name and address that a web request came from is a very easy thing to do and if nothing else is stored in the web stats of the site you visited.
