IPEVO PoV Webcam - Need Help!
    « on: January 31, 2009, 03:59:11 PM »
I just installed an IPEVO webcam. When attempting to use, I get the following message " PoV device has been detected but the video source is occupied by another application. Please close the other video application and restart software"

OS is Vista. I have no other video app connected to the computer and i have gone in and disabled anything that I thought might be giving trouble. I have re-booted and reloaded the driver. No luck.  any sugestions?

      So the webcam never worked?

      Is this a laptop/desktop?
      Is the webcam built in?

Dell desktop running Vista. The camera is not built in. I just bought it. I've tried disabling everything I can think of.

The camera is an IPEVO  PoV.  It has no model number as far as I can determine. The company web site is IPEVO.com.  I purchased it through Cyberguys.com

            To summarize:

Computer: HP desktop running Vista with dual monitors.

Web Cam: IPEVO PoV, new with installation disk

              Yes, that is the one

I should mention that when I go to Control Panel then to Device Manager, then to PvO; the message is "The device is working properly"

The location is given as 0000.001d.0003.001.000.000.000.000.000
