trying to connect old dell laptop
    « on: February 03, 2009, 12:26:24 PM »
that is running on windows 2000-that i forgot my password/admin to- to my regular computer with windows xp on it using wizard file sharing to add xp and overide windows 2000. But cannot connect because wizard requires wizard to be running on both computers and does not show connection. how can i connect both computers? when laptop is stuck on login screen? dont care about losing information on laptop just want running again.

You can get a recovery cd that can reset the password for the UID. Check out ebay.

the wizard does not require it to be run on both pc's concurrently.

You can work around local passwords, but if you are, and i supspect you are, referring to a "network" login, your out of luck.
