windows XP question on startup...HELP!

At one point when I was installing windows xp sp2 I think the computer froze and I had to start again.  Now whenever I start the computer or rebout it asks me to choose which os I want to use(both are windows xp and I think this happened because of the freeze)  Is there a way to fix this situation without reinstalling the software?

you edit the boot.ini file so that there is only one option
