    Microphone/Sound card problem
    « on: March 21, 2009, 09:25:42 AM »
    Hey guys!

    Computer description:
Sound card: TerraTec Aureon 5.1 pci
    Headset: Creative Fatal1ty Gaming Headset
OS: Windows XP Service pack 3
    Ram: 2 GB
    CPU: Dual core 3.00 GHz
    GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT

Just bought a new sound card (TerraTec Aureon 5.1 pci) and a new headset (Creative Fatal1ty Gaming Headset).
As I'm gaming a lot, I often talk to my friends using Ventrilo 2.1 and Teamspeak 2.
My problem is that when I speak they can hear me but they also hear an annoying beeping sound in the background. When I tried Windows built-in sound recorder I also heard the sound my friends was describing.

Any ideas of what it might be?

p.s Sorry for any misspelling or any grammatical mistakes, English is my second language d.s

Please check with any other application and then if not resolved please install the audio drivers.

Thank you for the fast reply makshaw17,

I did as you told me and downloaded another audio recorder, audacity, but the problem is still there.
Then i picked up the latest drivers for my sound card and recorded again.

I just tried with my old headset and I seem to have the same problem with them.
This leads me to think that its my sound card that is the problem.
Don't know if this helps but anyway...

Okay... In this case contact the manufacturer and if in warranty get it repalced.
