Task Manger in ubuntu

Hi Everyone,
           
           I just have a simple question, does the Ubuntu 8.04 has a feature as well like the "Task Manager in a Windows OS". I recently installed it on my computer and it is my first time as well to use this operating system.   ;D

    on linux, you use ps  or top to see processes.

      System > Administration > System Monitor

      (PS. 8.04? 8.10 is the newest version...)
