unknown node type

i just looked at ipconfig /all and it showed an node type as unknown, so i googled that which led me to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310570 and i found that the registry key EnableProxy is missing. can somebody help me fix this problem? i have been unable to connect to the internet through my wireless, would this be affecting it?? please see http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic,79856.msg526675.html#msg526675 about what i have tried to solve my wireless problems. this topic is just for information about the unknown node type
