    Control key problems
    « on: April 13, 2009, 11:24:33 AM »
I'm having problems with using the Control key to select multiple objects.  As soon as I press the Control key, my mouse pointer disappears and I am unable to click on anything.  Therefore, I can only select one object at a time.  This is the case regardless of what program I am in.  I have tried it in Microsoft Publisher, Kodak Easy Share, and in Windows Explorer trying to select multiple files. I believe the shift key is also doing the same thing, making it impossible to select multiple objects.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix or reset this?  I've tried rebooting the computer, but this situation has been ongoing for quite some time, through many restarts.  Everything else seems to work fine.  Thank you.

      Go into Control Panel>Mouse>Pointer Option

      Check the last box.

Thanks.  I'm not on the problem computer right now, but I will definitely try this!
