cant find my documents folder on a old hard drive
« on: April 11, 2009, 05:17:10 PM »
Hi, my mother board failed recently so i went to pc world and bought a new base unit. the hard drive from my old pc has a few photos etc, i still wanted, so i also bought a akasa integral external enclosure. so when i go to view my old hard drive using this i can only see files that were on my old pc`s "c" drive, but i cant see the "my documents" folder where i kept all my files and pics. can anyone tell me how i can find these?

The usual locations for the My Documents folder are:

For old operating systems, like 98 and ME: C:\My Documents\
For the newer operating systems, like XP C:\Documents and Settings\%UserName%\My Documents\
    And for Vista: C:\Users\%UserName%\Documents\
