Hi I have a logitech game pad (dual action). When playing a game the charachter will move always down and right unless I push the stick the opposite way. It makes gaming problomatic. Any ideas, I can't update the driver either... see attached. Thanks in advance

Have you uninstalled / reinstalled the existing drivers?

Will Windows detect and install without having to load any drivers?

get rid of (uninstall) logitech profiler. It might not be causing these issues but it's useless.

try unplugging the controller, waiting a while, and plugging it back in.

I'll get rid and have a look again. Does it make a difference if it's a dos based game? Thanks for the reply BC

Unplug the game pad, then replug it whilst making sure the joysticks are not touched and that they are still in neutral.
When it's plugged in and identified, do a 360 with the joysticks.

That's how I fix up my XBox controller when playing Flight Sim. When I first start the game, I need to 'realign' the controller.

Uninstall the device via Device Manager...
Re-boot and let the generic Windows drivers be installed for it.
See if this is any better.

Cheers patio I've uninstalled the drivers then shut downand re-started. The drivers re-installed but the same problem occurs. e cursor runs of diagonally down and right. Tried changing modes over from stick to d-pad but still the same. See attached. Thanks for our time guy's.

Is it possible you can try the controller on another computer?

Unfortunately not. My other laptop is well.. the screen is smashed and the power port at the back has fallen out. I was having a tantrum with a trojan horse. Is there any way I can get the game to work by using keys? The directional buttons move the character (Moostone) by the way. But I can't get any other keys to work.

In the control panel, under game controllers, you should be able to go in and calibrate the stick. See if you can recenter it.

(Sorry, I'm on my mobile phone, hard to type.)
